Important things to note about Neptune

Updated over a week ago

Why is my markdown showing as text after pasting it into the Neptune editor?

To ensure that a raw markdown text from sources such as Twitter, WhatsApp, or Notepad is correctly rendered in the editor, it's recommended to use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + V (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + V (Mac) instead of a regular paste.

This will preserve the markdown formatting and prevent the text from being rendered as plain text.

How to cite references in the quote block?

If you're looking to add a reference to the source or author of a quote in your post, simply use the following markdown syntax:

> “Content goes here” ―[**Source**](url)

Please note that it's important to paste the markdown using the shortcut keys Ctrl + Shift + V (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + V (Mac) to ensure the proper rendering of the citation.
